Strasbourg

This part f France has been enjoying their Christmas market since the late sixteenth century. It is believed that the tradition of putting up Christmas trees actually started in Strasbourg. Start your exploration near the Place Broglie and walk under the bright Christmas lights of Place Kieber, then amid the Christkidelsmarik, you will find the monstrous Sapin de Noel Christmas tree.

You can get holiday dishes, decors, and a ton of other goodies in the market. This year they will be open from NOvemer 26 thru the eve of the New Year. Kids will enjoy the meet and greet with Saint Nicholas, ice skating rink,puppet shows, and holiday games.

Bruges

The cold breeze as the holiday approaches might be bring some magic with it as this world heritage site even becomes more beautiful. Time your visit for the Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival and wonder at the frozen art magic of the local artisans. Some of the great finds are of course Belgian chocolates, ceramics, and handmade clothing. Since you are in Belgium already, make sure you sample the Belgian beers and the special brews they make just for the holidays.

Prague

A lot of people flock to Prague annually for the Christmas market which enlivens the Old Town Square. The organizers put up a Christmas tree sourced from the Krkonose Mountains. This year’s Christmas market will run from November 26 up to the first week of January. People go here to buy some Czech glass, puppets, crystals, wooden toys, and ceramic mugs. Add to that some great grubs and drinks.

Or, if you prefer warmer climates on your holidays, there is always Hawaii’s world renowned Big Island. Active volcanoes, exquisite beaches, and fewer crowds than you might imagine in many locations, this is a great place to relax.

Or heck, why not try a very far reaching destination and head to Tasmania? The Bay of Fire is little known but enormously relaxing — and enormously beautiful. Tucked away as it is, you will never have a dreamier vacation.

Ljubljana, the capital, is one place you have to visit. From there you can reach all borders within two hours. It is particularly recommended that you visit the old part of the town, which features three bridges crossing the Ljubljanca River, as well as the Town Hall, with its beautiful Baroque fountain. Plus, of course, there is the stunning Ljubljana Cathedral, pictured here.

In the east, there is Maribor, which is only ten miles from the border of Austria, so you can easily reach Vienna or Trieste as well.

The Julian Alps are another huge draw, as is the coast — especially Portoroz, which is the most popular coastal resort in Slovenia.

This particular castle has been around since the 13th century and it was actually a fortress versus a castle.  It is just a few miles from Edinburgh, so you really should get that country charm with some city convenience there and the castle has actually been furnished and remodeled quite a bit.

There are 27 bedrooms and they are all decorated in historical themes, which make this castle extremely fun to stay at!

If there is one place in the world that has got to be one of the most romantic to get married, it is going to be Le Château d’Esclimont, France.  This beautiful estate is the place for a princess and to be honest, it is not all that far from Paris, the city of love.  The Le Château d’Esclimont sits on 150 acres and it is perfect for your guests to fish, hike, ride horses or even just relax on the estate.  Inside?  Oh, it is absolutely incredible.

If you want your wedding to be a princess fairytale wedding, the Le Château d’Esclimont, France is going to be the place for you.  Not only do you get to be inside something this beautiful, but you get to actually get married in France – and that alone is something that many people do not get to experience.

The grand opulence and beauty of The Grand Hotel is something that you can not get anywhere else.  It is placed at the top of a mountain in New Zealand and by far it is the hotel to be if you want your guests to marvel and talk about your wedding all over the place.  The grand ballroom is the crème de la crème and this particular hotel actually used to be a palace that has been transformed into a luxury hotel.

So really – check out Florence Italy for your wedding and especially The Grand hotel … it is beautiful and a once in a lifetime experience!

To be completely honest, I have to say that one of my favorite and greatest overseas vacations has got to be Paris.  Paris is just one of those places that you really and truly never, ever want to leave!  It is the top destination for every couple in the world and it is definitely, definitely one of the most romantic places to visit.

I personally think that every single person in the world should go to France, Paris specifically at least once in their lifetime – if you don’t, you are missing out on a hell of a lot.  Seriously, believe you me!

One thing that you should know about Paris is that there truly is so much to do!  They have their own Disneyland, you can see Moulin Rouge, you can ride along on a segway, you can tour Paris by bike.  You truly can find something that is going to fit your taste!

The Giant’s Causeway is made up of about 37,000 hexagonal shaped dark columns. From the bird’s eye-view, it looks like a giant lizard’s tale. The impressive regularity of the rock formation caused people to believe that it was crafted by intelligent beings.

According to the folklore, the Giant Causeway was made by the giant Finn Mac Cool. The Causeway was supposed to be a footbridge for his lover who lived in the island of Staffa. This is the reason why the Causeway ends just at the tip of Staffa Island.

The Causeway is made up of the Little Causeway, the Middle Causeway, and the Grand Causeway. At the tip of the Middle Causeway is a rocky seat called the Wishing Chair. It was believed to be made by Finn Mac Cool when he was just a toddler. It’s a common belief that people who make wishes at the Wishing Chair have their wishes come true.

Geologists hold different value for the rock formations, though. They believe that both the Giant’s Causeway and the Wishing Chair were products of the volcanic eruptions some 60 million years ago. Apparently, similar rock formations can be found in the nearby country of Scotland.

After the first part about luxury hotels in Austria, it is definitely hard to follow that, but the Ritz hotel in London is honestly one of the most luxurious hotels in the world.  This particular hotel may be called the Ritz, but it is not affiliated with the Ritz Carlton brand at all, this hotel is actually privately owned so once again, that chainy feeling that you might get with a lot of hotel brands, you will definitely not get at this 137 room hotel.

This hotel was just recently completely renovated and is now more luxurious than every, it has been all redecorated to capture all of the charm that it had before the renovation, just now, everything is state-of-the-art and new!  Fabrics for this hotel specifically had to of been woven to meet the orders and the furniture has all been completely and totally restored so you will definitely still get the historic feel in a new surrounding.

If you are looking for a hotel to stay at while in England, you need to make sure that you stay here – it is incredible looking from the inside out and definitely worth your time in more ways than one.

Paris, France is one of the most elegant cities in the world. The Notre Dame is one of the main attractions, in which the building is known as Our Lady. The Notre Dame is located on the island of Île de la Cité at the heart of Paris. The building is notable for its elegant proportions, such as the French Gothic Cathedrals of the Middle Age. A, Early Roman Temple at one time was built in this area. The building was developed in the late 11th-centuries by Bishop Maurice de Sully.

The Cathedral building’s, west front end is made of classical French Gothic Styles that composes of three rich carved portals, or doorways. The main portal is a depiction of the bible’s Last Judgment story. North and south of the building is transept fronts that date back to the second part of the 13th century. The windows are decorated with two rose, circular stained glass that was constructed using the bar tracery technique. Elaborate stone support systems complement the windows.
