Now that we have talked a little bit about Italy, let’s go ahead and switch gears and go over to Austria! Austria is one of those places that you never … ever want to leave. It is not only beautiful but the cities are absolutely incredible looking! From Hallstatt all the way to Salzburg, you know that Austria is certainly going to surprise you!

Austria is actually one of the best places if you are looking to gain a little culture. Not only was this the home of Mozart, but the beautiful city of Vienna is absolutely breathtaking and filled with everything from rose gardens all the way to operas.

If you want beauty, Austria is the place for you to head!

Luxury Hotels of the World! Part 1

We have covered so many different things in this blog but one thing I noticed that we have not covered is hotel accommodations! Luxury hotels are honestly some of the greatest hotels in the world and while they are mainly for the rich and famous, if you happen to save up enough money to stay at one of these amazing hotels, you should do so. The very first luxury hotel on our list is going to be the Hotel Sacher Wien.

This incredible looking hotel is going to be in Austria and while a lot of people do not think that Austria is the greatest place to go on vacation, if you ever get yourself a chance to go to this incredible country, you should. Now, about the hotel! The Hotel Sacher Wien is a privately owned hotel, so you will not be rooming with a chain and will not get that ‘chain’ feeling. It first opened up in 1876 and has been running strong ever since!

This hotel offers up incredible looking rooms, state-of-the-art bathrooms and everything about this hotel is honestly magnificent.

Austria is known as a mountainous country due to its location in the Alps, only about 32% of the total area is below 500m. Subsequently this country is has a wide variety of holiday offers. Famous ski-centres are Innsbruck, Kitzbühel, St. Anton, Ischgl, Flattach. Top ski-slopes during winter-time, turn into scenic walking trails during summer. The wonderful nature of the Austrian mountains, rivers, lakes and vast forests, offer a large choice of different locations to spend your summer holiday. But skiing and snowboarding are by no means limited to winter only. In the regions of Carinthia, Salzburg, Styria and Tirol there are 8 year-round winter sports areas.

But Austria has far more to offer. The capital Vienna is known for its cultural splendor. Places to visit: the Imperial Palace – Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen ’s Cathedral, the Spanish Riding School, the Giant Ferris Wheel, the Imperial Burial Vault. Vienna is also the capital of music. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert, are amongst the most famous composers who lived and worked in this city. Four opera houses witness the importance of music to this city.

The old city of Salzburg is a true architectural delight. A walk through the narrow streets of old Salzburg features buildings from the Middle Ages, Romanesque, Baroque and Renaissance periods. Places to visit: the Cathedral, Hohensalzburg Fortress, St. Peter’s Monastery and cemetery, the Franciscan Church, the Large and Small Festival Halls, Mirabell Palace and Gardens. The old city has many splendid facets.
