Norway is an amazingly rich country, and its Cold Coast is overflowing with the mystery of dark fjords and ancient legends. There are polar bear tours and an amazing number of outdoor and snow based sports.

Or, if you prefer warmer climates on your holidays, there is always Hawaii’s world renowned Big Island. Active volcanoes, exquisite beaches, and fewer crowds than you might imagine in many locations, this is a great place to relax.

Or heck, why not try a very far reaching destination and head to Tasmania? The Bay of Fire is little known but enormously relaxing — and enormously beautiful. Tucked away as it is, you will never have a dreamier vacation.

What will convince you to travel half across the globe? How about one of the world’s natural wonders which consists of around 3000 coral reefs and 900 islands? The Great Barrier Reef never fails to fascinate anyone and be in awe of any spot that they’ll see along its length of 2000 kilometers.

If you are planning to see the color, the life, and magic of the Great Barrier Reef, you can take a flight to Queensland, Australia. Visit the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in Townsville and appreciate nature’s beauty at its best with family, friends, or other tourists.

Townsville is well prepared for local and international tourists. Millions of visitors every year flock to this corner of the globe to go on diving, snorkeling, yachting, fishing, or surfing along the Great Barrier Reef.

The Great Barrier Reef was unraveled by the sea to the European explorer James Cook in 1770. The stretch of coral life is believed to have been evolving and growing since 18000 years ago. The locals today are more than willing to show people from all places the majestic beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.

Great Barrier Reef diving is the most popular activity in the area. There are equipment and boats for hire to make the exploration easier. There are also scuba diving schools which can show beginners how to properly explore the waters.

Private yachts can also be rented to have a different perspective of the seascape.

The Australia Great Barrier Reef may be included in any body’s list of must sees in a life time. Just remember, take only pictures. Taking coral from the reef is declared illegal both by nature and man.

Sydney, Australia is a wonderful place to be a destination for honeymoon. The Sydney Opera House, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Harbor itself are some of the many attractions of the city.

There are some very good starred hotels in this great city befitting a honeymooning couple. Central Park Hotel situated in the Caslereagh Street is a well appointed place. But the cost is rather on the higher side, over US$ 250 per night. It is a three starred hotel.

The Sydney Swissotel is a well appointed five star hotel situated in Market Street. It is surprisingly cheap for its class. It costs only a little more than USD 150 a day.

Simpsons of Potts Point is a restored heritage hotel in Challis Ave. It is a very small place, but very romantic, being a restored heritage. It is a part of a nineteenth century Victorian building. The price is a little over USD 200.

The Blanket in King Street is a classy hotel. The cost is less than USD 200 a night.

There are also very expensive hotels in Sydney like the Inter Continental, Le Meridien and the Stanford Plaza.

You don’t have to have your wedding abroad, but having your honeymoon abroad is very much worth it!

New Zealand consists of two large islands and several small ones in the south-western Pacific Ocean. The South Island is the larger of the two and is divided along its length by the Southern Alps. Here Aoraki/Mount Cook is the highest peak of the country and the National Park that stretches out along its slopes is partly covered with glaciers (Tasman, Hooker, Murchison and Mueller Glacier). Further south Fiordland National Park is a World Heritage site. Mount Aspiring National Park (loved by climbers) is the land of mountains, glaciers, river valleys and alpine lakes. Another mountaineering hotspot is Arthur’s Pass National Park. The Nelson Lakes National Park is known for its beech forests with spectacular native birds. Hiking through the mountainous park, offers fantastic scenery looking down on the lakes. At Paparoa National Park you can explore the blowholes, caves and famous Rocks of Punakaiki.

On the North Island, Egmont National Park holds Mount Taranaki, New Zealand‘s most climbed mountain (dormant volcano). Whanganui National Park named to the river that passes through the mountain slopes is a paradise for bird watchers. Tongariro National Park with the Volcanoes Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu is a Wold Heritage Site with Steaming craters, old lava flows and thermal lakes. In Te Urewera National Park that holds the largest native forest of the island, Lake Waikaremoana is the main attraction.

Auckland is the largest city, a perfect landing point to New Zealand, a dream city to stay with its multicultural atmosphere, and a perfect departing point for all other destinations. Wellington, the capital, is a rather small city positioned between the harbour and green hills. Wairarapa in the south-east corner of the North Island is where you’ll find vineyards, acres of apple orchards, fields of lavender, olive groves, wonderful food and lovely wine. Queenstown, at Lake Wakatipu is known for its First Class Holiday Resort and offers great skiing possibilities in winter. Roturora is the most preferred tourist destination on the North Island. The area is known for the thermal activity (geysers, hot springs, bubbling mud pools).
