Let’s Plan Our Holiday

Needless to say, August is coming up quickly.  This is an important month because it marks the tail end of summer, the last vestiges of summer vacation.  You want one last holiday with the kids, you want to get away just one more time before fall comes on, with winter close at its heels.  But where are the best places to go?

Well, Guadeloupe is a great place to start. Specifically, the Festival of the Women Cooks which takes place there is an absolute must see. As the name suggests, the festival is a celebration of both women and food. It is actually held for two months, including August. During the early mornings of the festivals, the local women come together to cook for the five hour banquet and parade which occurs later in the day.

Plus, there are lots of other big draws, including the Jacques Cousteau Underwater Park.
