Places to Visit in Jamaica

Miss Jamaica 07Ah Jamaica, perhaps one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world. It’s no mystery why a large number of tourists visit this country year after year. Its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, forests, and beaches reek of so much wonder that lures locals and tourists alike in this beautiful Caribbean country. Of all its natural wonders, the Blue Mountain Peak and Negril Cliffs are the most famous. The Somerset Falls and Y S Falls come next, two of the best must-see places in Jamaica. Morever, the Widowmaker’s Cave and The Throne Room Cave hold so much wonder as well.

Jamaica is also rich with historical sites to explore—monuments, plantations, farms, and forts tell of the country’s wonderful history. Tourists are advised to marvel at the breathtaking exterior of the Ocho Rios and Fort Charlotte. The Greenwood Great House, The Spanish Town, and the Good Hope Plantation or Appleton Estate are also must-see spots.

There are also many museums in Jamaica—the Hanover Museum, National Gallery, and Coyaba River Garden are just a few. If you’re interested in seeing the wildlife of Jamaica, check out the Hope Botanical Garden and Zoo, the Rocklands Bird Sanctuary, Dolphi Cove and Aqua Sol Theme Park. Bask in florals at the Nelson Mandela Park, Shaw Park Gardens and Castleton Gardens. Other places to visit are as the following—Negril Lighthouse, Tithfield, Bethany Morovian Church, Anglican Church, Athenry Gardens, Firefly, and Nine Miles.
