Croatia is best known for its amazing coastline, with numerous islands, steep cliffs and reefs. The climate along the Adriatic Sea is warm and dry in summer, mild in winter. It is an ideal spot for a holiday all year round. In the interior of the country summers are dry and hot, winter cold and snowy. Along the Adriatic Sea “Makarska Riviera”, between the towns of Brela and Gradac, is the favourite tourist destination of the country.
Zagreb, the countries capital is called the city of museums. Some of the more prominent museums are the Gallery of modern Art and the Ethnographic Mimara museum. Nevertheless this city has far more to offer. The oldest part of town Gornji grad has many interesting places to visit: Banski Dvori (presidential palace , Sabor (parliament), St. Steven’s Cathedral, St. Mark’s Church, the Dolac (the main market in Zagreb), the Lotrcak Kula tower, the kamenita vrata (13th century stone gate). The lower part of town Donji grad offers tourists a large amaout of restaurants, bars, cafes, theatres and Parks. Other important cities to visit are: Dubrovnik, Split, Rijeka, Porec.
